Lavender landscapes

A true symbol of Haute-Provence, lavender colours the landscapes around Forcalquier every summer. Within 5 to 15 minutes of the Grand Hôtel, several plateaus offer superb viewpoints, especially near Mane, Limans and the Ganagobie plateau. Depending on the season (mid-June to late July), you can admire the blooming fields, meet local producers or visit traditional distilleries to learn how lavender essential oil is made.
